Loretta Irene Valentine

Scottsboro, Alabama – Loretta Irene (O’Brien) Valentine, 95, of Scottsboro, Alabama and formerly of Ridgewood Road, Pawtucket, passed away peacefully on Monday, December 30, 2013.

She was the beloved wife of the late Robert F.

Born in Central Falls, the daughter of the late John J. and Loretta F. (McKenna) O’Brien, she resided in Pawtucket for sixty-one years before moving to Scottsboro five years ago.

She leaves three sons, Robert F.

Valentine, Jr. and his wife, Joan of Scottsboro, Alabama, John Andrew Valentine and his wife, Roby of Louisville, Kentucky and D.

Michael Valentine of Dennis, Massachusetts; five grandchildren, Robert F.

Valentine III, Susan Rivers, Matthew, David and Margo Valentine and seven great-grandchildren, Taylor Rivers, Robert IV, Tamar, Matthew, Shelby, Allison and Erin Valentine.

She was the mother of the late James O.

Valentine and the sister of the late James O’Brien.

VISITATION will begin Saturday at 10 a.m. at WILLIAM W.

TRIPP Funeral Home, 1008 Newport Ave., Pawtucket, followed by a Mass of Christian Burial at noon in St.

Teresa Church, 358 Newport Ave.

Interment will follow at St.

Joseph Cemetery, Mendon Road, Cumberland.
