Lois E. Barney

Norton – Lois E. (Smith) Barney, 90, passed away on Sunday, January 21, 2024.

She was the beloved wife of the late George W.

Born in Pawtucket, she was a daughter of the late Thomas D. and Laura E. (Munyon) Smith.

Lois resided in Seekonk before moving to Norton in 2003.

She was a member of the former Community of Christ Church, Attleboro and volunteered for the Attleboro Council of Churches and Attleboro CROP Walk.

She leaves a daughter, Laura E.

Nichols and her husband, Albert, of South Attleboro; three sons, Thomas W.

Barney and his late wife, Michele, of Longmeadow, James R.

Barney and his wife, Karen, of Norton and Robert L.

Barney of Boston; eight grandchildren, fifteen great-grandchildren and four great-great-grandchildren.

She was the sister of the late George Smith and Helen Korsak.

Services followed by interment at Seekonk Cemetery will be private.

A Celebration of Life will be held at a later date.
