Pawtucket – Lionel “Uncle Pint” E. Roy, 96, of Celebration, Florida, formerly of Pawtucket, beloved uncle, father figure, husband, brother, son and friend passed away Saturday, November 26, 2011. He was the beloved husband of the late Stella M. (Lemieux) Roy. Born in Central Falls, a son of the late Emery H. and Regina A. (Juaire) Roy, he resided in Pawtucket most of his life before moving to Florida in 2008. A highly decorated World War II U. S. Army veteran, he was a recipient of many deserved medals, including the Purple Heart, Silver Star and the French Legion of Honor award. Lionel fought bravely and valiantly for our country. He was a member of the Celebration Veterans Club and a life member of the AMVETS and DAV. He was employed by the Joseph M. P. Ott Company, Pawtucket, for thirty-three years before retiring in 1980.
