Linnea M. Deacon

East Providence – Linnea M. (Lugn) Deacon, 96, formerly of Pawtucket, passed away on Wednesday, April 8, 2020 at Linn Health & Rehabilitation, East Providence. She was the wife of the late Horace Deacon, Jr. Born in Pawtucket, she was the daughter of the late Emil and Emmy (Clarqvist) Lugn. Linnea was a sales clerk at the former Bayberry House Gift Shop, Barrington, for twenty-six years until retiring. She was a lifelong member of Covenant Congregational Church in Pawtucket and sang in their choir for over fifty years. She is survived by a daughter, Carolyn A. Lawson and her late husband, Frank, of Lincoln; two granddaughters, Amy Lawson of Woonsocket and Melissa Nobrega and her husband, Jeremy, of Cumberland and two great-grandchildren, Mason and Mya Nobrega. She was the sister of the late Rev. Carl Lugn and Anna H. Hayman. Services and interment at Highland Memorial Park Cemetery will be scheduled at a later date.
