Linden Carr

Pawtucket – Linden Carr, 89, passed away on Thursday, June 24, 2021. He was the beloved husband of L. Grace (Hainsworth) Carr for sixty-six years. Born in Pawtucket, he was the son of the late Harold E. and Barbara E. (Laraway) Carr. A U.S. Air Force veteran, Mr. Carr served his country during the Korean War. He was a lifelong resident of Pawtucket who graduated in 1949 from the former Pawtucket East High School. Linden worked as a lace weaver at the former Seekonk Lace, Pawtucket, for thirty-eight years prior to retiring in 1990. An avid animal lover, Linden enjoyed hunting, fishing and watching the New England Patriots football games. Mr. Carr was described as a good man with a big heart who will be greatly missed. Besides his loving wife, he is survived by a nephew, Rev. Peter Whelan and his wife, Jan, of Massachusetts. He was the father of the late David L. Carr. Interment with his late son in Swan Point Cemetery, Providence, will be private. Visitation and floral tributes are respectfully omitted....
