Watkins, III, 77, passed away unexpectedly on Tuesday, November 12, 2024.
He was the beloved husband of Elaine (Choiniere) Watkins for fifty-six years.
Born in Rocky Mount, North Carolina, he was the son of the late Lewis V., Jr. and Nancy (Bolton) Watkins.
Lewis grew up in Jacksonville, Florida and relocated to Rhode Island in 1967.
He was a veteran of the U.S.
Navy and proudly served his country during the Vietnam era.
Lewis worked in shipping and receiving at the former Providence Gravure for twenty-five years, and then for Jay Packaging Group, Inc., Warwick, until his retirement.
He was a longtime member of Bristol County Street Rods Association, Attleboro, MA.
He was proud of his 56’ Chevy that he meticulously restored, and his 07’ Corvette.
Lewis enjoyed watching NASCAR and was a fan of the Boston Red Sox and the New England Patriots.
He will be most remembered for the love that he shared with his family.
Besides his beloved wife, he is survived by a son, Timothy Watkins and his wife, Carolyn, of Tewksbury, MA; three adoring grandchildren, Abigail, Emily and Natalie; a brother-in-law, Kenneth Choiniere and his wife, Margaret, of Seekonk; his beloved Maine Coon cat, George and his granddog, Gina, a Hound mix.
He was the beloved father of the late Lewis V.
Relatives and friends are welcome to attend visitation on Wednesday, November 20th from 3:00 p.m. to 6:00 p.m. in WILLIAM W.
TRIPP Funeral Home, 1008 Newport Ave., Pawtucket.
Interment with his late son at Notre Dame Cemetery, Pawtucket, will be private.

D., 121 Roosevelt Ave., Pawtucket, RI 02860 would be greatly appreciated.
