Attleboro – Leroy E. Emory, 90, of Newport, North Carolina and formerly of South Attleboro passed away at home on Monday, May 14, 2012. He was the beloved husband of the late Mary (Parsigian) Emory. Born in Durham, North Carolina, a son of the late Dee Irving and Ella (Tilley) Emory, he resided in South Attleboro most of his life before returning to North Carolina 6 years ago. Leroy served in the U.S. Army. He was a machinist at Brown & Sharpe Manufacturing Company, Providence and North Kingstown, RI, for 38 years until retiring. He was a member of the Moose Club, Newport, NC and a former member of the Attleboro Elks Lodge No. 1014. Leroy was the father of Douglas A. Emory and his wife, Suzi of Rockford, Illinois, Sandra L. Mullins and her husband, Vernon of Suwanee, Georgia and the late Charles E. “Chuck” Emory and his wife, Pamela of South Attleboro. He also leaves his grandchildren, Vernon C.
