Pawtucket – Leonard “Lenny” J.
Fournier, 83, died as a result of Stomach Cancer, on February 13, 2022, at the HopeHealth Hulitar Hospice Center in Providence.
He was the husband of Janice L. (Gilbert) Fournier for 32 years.
Born in Pawtucket on May 24, 1938, he was the son of the late Joseph and Elmire (Deschene) Fournier.
Lenny graduated in 1956, from St.
In the early 60’s, he served in the U.S.
For 35 years, he worked in the equipment installation department at Verizon, retiring in 1997.
Among the many things he enjoyed were fishing, jogging, golf, and horse racing.
He loved growing tomatoes and then sharing them with family and friends.
Lenny was a kind and generous person who was always willing to help wherever needed.
He volunteered for several organizations including Meals on Wheels and the Holy Family Food Pantry.
Besides his wife, he is survived by three nieces, Patricia Morin and her husband, Ronald, Denise Alexander and her husband Scott, and Maureen Gauthier and her husband, Robert; a nephew, Joseph Fournier and several cousins.
Lenny was the brother of the late Joseph Fournier, Violet Kelley, and Constance Goyette.
His funeral will be held on Friday at 9 a.m. from WILLIAM W.
TRIPP Funeral Home, 1008 Newport Ave., Pawtucket, followed by a Mass of Christian Burial at 10 a.m. in St.
Theresa of the Child Jesus Church, 18 Baltic St., South Attleboro.
Interment will follow at Notre Dame Cemetery, Pawtucket.
VISITATION Thursday from 4 p.m. to 7 p.m.
