Smithfield – Leo T. Poirier, 89, formerly of Pawtucket, passed away peacefully on Friday, May 16, 2014 with family by his side. Born in Pawtucket, he was a son of the late Theodore and Yvonne (Forcier) Poirier. Leo was a United States Army veteran of both World War II and Korea. He worked as a cost estimator at the former Collyer Insulated Wire Co., Lincoln for many years until retiring in 1988. Leo was a member of the DIP Club; LeFoyer and the American Legion. He was an avid fisherman and especially enjoyed spending time with his family and dear friends. Leo leaves three daughters, Claudette E. Davis of Rochester, NH, Celeste I. Lessard of Auburn, NH and Kimberly D. Nobrega of Blackstone, MA; four siblings, Claire Guastello, Roland, George and Bert Poirier; four grandchildren; one great-grandson and many nieces and nephews. He is predeceased by his former wife, Doris I. (Campbell) Poirier; two sons, Ronald E. and John L. Poirier and five siblings, Pete, Roger, Norman, Rene and Maurice Poirier. VISITATION...
