July 21, 1940 — March 13, 2012

Beauvais, 71, passed away at home on Tuesday, March 13, 2012, after a courageous eighteen month battle with cancer.

He was the beloved husband of Maureen (McCormick) Beauvais for 53 years.

A lifelong resident of Pawtucket, he was a son of the late Leo C. and Florence (Belliveau) Beauvais.

Leo was a carpenter with Local No. 94 for over 30 years until retiring.

A true family man, he enjoyed fishing; yard work; playing pool and was a member of the Ocean State Harley Davidson Riders Group.

Besides his wife, he leaves a daughter, Jo-Ann Alix in MA and her companion, Victor Szala, Jr.; grandchildren, Christopher and Heather Wysong and Amanda and Matthew Alix; his great-grandson and best buddy, Johnathan Colon; sisters and brothers, Loretta Robichaud, her late husband, George in CA, Shirley Berard, her late husband, Leo in MA; Joseph Beauvais, his wife, Maureen, Joan Neveu, her husband, Paul and Diana Bean, her husband, Edward, all in FL; a sister-in-law, Patricia Berkheimer, her husband, Wayne in VA and many nieces and nephews.

He was the father of the late Annette P.

Wysong and the brother of the late Frank Beauvais.

According to Leo’s wishes, services will be private.
