Lea M. Hickey

Pawtucket – Lea M. (LeMay) Hickey, 96, passed away on Tuesday, May 24, 2016. She was the beloved wife of the late Donald C. Hickey. Born in Central Falls, a daughter of the late Arthur and Josephine (Benoit) LeMay, she was next to the youngest of seventeen siblings. Lea had been employed by Sydney Blumenthal, Moore Fabric, Robison Rayon, Arbeka Webbing and the RI School Lunch Program before retiring. She was a former member of St. Leo’s Seniors and enjoyed completing crossword puzzles and word searches. She leaves four children, Evelyn Durocher and her husband, Gerald of Taunton, Robert Sawyer and his wife, Susan of Ocala, FL, Marilyn Vadeboncoeur and her husband, Dennis of Cumberland and Irene Messina and her husband, James of Kissimmee, FL; thirteen grandchildren, thirteen great-grandchildren and three great-great-grandchildren. She was the mother of the late Joseph Sawyer. VISITATION will begin Saturday at 1 p.m. followed by Services at 2:30 p.m. at CHEETHAM Funeral Home, 1012 Newport Ave., Pawtucket....
