Lawrence A. Whitman, Sr.

Attleboro – Lawrence “Larry” A. Whitman, Sr., 83, passed away on Monday, July 4, 2016. He was the beloved husband of Pauline C. (Dubois) Whitman for 58 years. Born in East Providence, he was a son of the late Harry and Elise (Davis) Whitman. Larry was a United States Army veteran of the Korean War. He worked for the Norton School Department as a school bus driver for many years until his retirement. Larry enjoyed playing tennis and spending time with family and friends. He was a hard worker and a devoted and loving husband, father, grandfather, brother, uncle and friend. Besides his beloved wife, he leaves seven children, Lawrence A. Whitman, Jr. of Cape Coral, FL, Susan A. Collins of Attleboro, Michelle J. Whitman of Central Falls, Joann Marshall of South Attleboro, Brenda L. Whitman of Attleboro, Robin N. Deslauriers of Barrington and David B. Whitman of South Attleboro; eight grandchildren; one great-granddaughter and many nieces and nephews. Larry was one of seven siblings.
