Lawrence G. Doucette, Sr.

Lawrence “Larry” George Doucette, 94, a retired textile manager of Providence, formerly of Rehoboth and Pawtucket, passed away peacefully at his residence on June 17, 2025.

Larry was the beloved husband of the late Lois (Matthews) Doucette and the loving father of Patricia Morris, Elizabeth Pivirotto, and the late Lawrence Doucette Jr.

He was the very proud grandfather of Jennifer Vieira (Derek), Rebecca Cameron (Todd Belcher), Christopher Richards (Meredith), Daniel Morris, Bethany Cerami (Jon), Kathryn Goff (Joshua), Lauren Bentley (Steven), and Briana Wingate (Eric).

He was also the adoring great-grandfather of fifteen.

He is survived by his devoted sister, Ellen Demarco (Carmine), and leaves behind many cherished nieces and nephews.

He was predeceased by his dear brothers, Frederick and Robert, as well as several sisters-in-law and brothers-in-law with whom he shared many years of close friendship.

Affectionately known as “The Mayor” at Wingate Residences on the East Side, Larry also leaves behind his wonderful Wingate family, whose companionship brought him much joy.

Larry will be remembered for his warmth, and his unwavering devotion to his family.

In accordance with his wishes, visiting hours and flowers are respectfully omitted.

Funeral services will be private and held at the convenience of the family.
