Laurana R. George

d. October 3, 2024

Cumberland – Laurana Rose George, 24, passed away unexpectedly on Thursday, October 3, 2024, following a very tragic automobile accident.

She was born in New Bedford, Massachusetts on April 5, 2000.

Laurana was the daughter of Steven J.

Sanna and his wife, Jess (Schondek), of Cumberland, and Kristie (George) Hoban and her husband, Leo, of Ayden, North Carolina.

Laurana was a graduate of Walpole High School, Class of 2018.

She was currently employed at Angleo’s Palace Pizza in Cumberland as a waitress and had previously been a beloved member of the Patriots’ dining hall staff at Gillette.

Laurana brightened the mood of every room she ever entered.

Her raucous laugh was loud, full of joy, and frequently heard.

She was ethereal, charismatic, and silly.

She enjoyed meeting new people and was instantly loved by everyone who met her.

She also had a special way with animals and never met a dog she didn't pet.

Her head scratches and frequent gifts of canned food will be greatly missed by her five cats.

Laurana was an amazing artist.

From large paintings to quick sketches, she could capture a person's likeness in a matter of minutes.

She loved to dye her hair (and other people's) and was a genius with makeup.

Among friends, she was the stylish one everyone went to for fashion advice.

Laurana's biggest sources of joy (and sometimes annoyance) in life were her two younger siblings.

The three of them were thick as thieves, and their parents loved nothing more than hearing them laugh (loudly) after sharing a Sibling Secret.

She was truly the best big sister ever.

Laurana was an avid Lord of the Rings fan (extended editions only), as well as a devotee of The Office, 30 Rock, and Love Island.

She was the best friend you could ever have.

If her friends or siblings had a problem, Laurana was the first person they'd call, and she’d drop everything to run over and help- half empty Dunkin iced coffee in hand.

In addition, Laurana loved thrift shopping, antiquing with her Memere, and beating her Pepere at pool.

If she was feeling inspired, Laurana could cook a delicious meal, and if she was feeling less inspired, she wasn't above a can of Chef Boyardee or some Campbell's chicken noodle soup.

Laurana was always up for an adventure, an impromptu craft session, or a bad movie marathon.

She loved King Richard's Faire and was often seen there in her dad’s old suit of armor.

Laurana’s memory will be cherished by everyone who loved her- which was everyone she ever met.

Her family would like to collect remembrances from loved ones at the wake, so if you have a special memory you'd like to share, please write it down and bring it with you.

Besides her loving parents, Laurana leaves her beloved siblings, Harry J.

Sanna both of Cumberland; her grandparents, Joseph and Joanne Schondek of Pawtucket, and Nana Hoban of Walpole, Massachuetts; her boyfriend, Brian Conneely, and many beloved aunts, uncles, cousins and cherished friends.

Relatives and friends are welcome to attend a Mass of Christian Burial on Friday, October 11th at 11 a.m.

DIRECTLY at Historic St.

Joseph Church, 1303 Mendon Rd., Cumberland.

Calling hours will be held on Wednesday, October 9th from 4 p.m. to 8 p.m. at WILLIAM W.
