Laurana R. George

Cumberland – Laurana Rose George, 24, passed away unexpectedly on Thursday, October 3, 2024, following a very tragic automobile accident. She was born in New Bedford, Massachusetts on April 5, 2000. Laurana was the daughter of Steven J. R. Sanna and his wife, Jess (Schondek), of Cumberland, and Kristie (George) Hoban and her husband, Leo, of Ayden, North Carolina. Laurana was a graduate of Walpole High School, Class of 2018. She was currently employed at Angleo’s Palace Pizza in Cumberland as a waitress and had previously been a beloved member of the Patriots’ dining hall staff at Gillette.  Laurana brightened the mood of every room she ever entered. Her raucous laugh was loud, full of joy, and frequently heard. She was ethereal, charismatic, and silly. She enjoyed meeting new people and was instantly loved by everyone who met her. She also had a special way with animals and never met a dog she didn't pet. Her head scratches and frequent gifts of canned food will be greatly missed by her five cats. Laurana...
