Laura Matonis

Seekonk - Laura (Zielinski) Matonis, 96, passed away peacefully on Sunday, April 21, 2013. She was the beloved wife of the late Dominic and Boleslaw “Bill’ Matonis. Born on Staten Island, NY, she was a daughter of the late Andrew and Johanna (Mikasz) Zielinski. Laura worked at Royal Electric and Seekonk Lace, Pawtucket for many years. She enjoyed knitting and crocheting and was a voracious reader. She leaves a son, Dr. Peter M. Matonis and his wife Sheila of Seekonk; four grandchildren, Kristen (Joseph) DiMuccio, Maura Letourneau, Michael (Nicole) Matonis and Beth (Robert) Gilfeather; nine great-grandchildren and two sisters, Anne Parente of North Providence and Mary Vigiard of Attleboro. Laura also leaves many nieces and nephews. She was the sister of the late Sophie Heon, Frank, Edward and Stanley Zielinski. Her funeral will be held Wednesday at 9 a.m. from WILLIAM W.
