Kristen Leigh Colby, born February 15, 1966, passed away peacefully at home in Nashville, TN, on March 16, 2026, at the age of 60.
She was preceded in death by her father, Bruce A. Colby, Sr., and her sister, Sharon Colby Camara. She is survived by her mother, Ann M. (Pettit) Colby and husband, William D. Almon, Sr. of Wakefield, RI; her brother, Bruce A. Colby, Jr. of Muncie, IN; her sister, Abby Colby Cooper and brother-in-law, Stephen R. Cooper of Wakefield, RI; her stepsister, Heather H. Savoie of Pawtucket, RI; and her stepbrother, William D. Almon, Jr. of Cumberland, RI, along with many extended family members. Beloved by her nieces and nephews, Kristen was Fairy Godmother to Simone M. Cooper as well as Auntie Xmas to Cole J. Camara, Margot A. Cooper, Gwen M. Camara, and Ross S. Cooper.
Born in Pawtucket, RI, Kristen was smart, adventurous, and deeply caring, someone who truly lived life to the fullest. She graduated from the University of Hawaii at Manoa, earned her Physician Assistant certification from George Washington University, and received her Master’s in Healthcare Administration from the University of St. Francis in Joliet. She was also a certified Reiki Master.
Kris had 9 lives and took the world by storm. She devoted herself to caring for others, offering both professional expertise and heartfelt compassion. Kris was a loyal friend, a trusted confidant, and often the one who showed up without hesitation when someone needed her most. She was always ready for the next adventure and traveled widely, with journeys that took her across Europe, China, and Australia; and in her final months, she continued to do what she loved most: visiting friends across the country. Kristen will be remembered for her vibrance, strength, and generosity of spirit.
The FUNERAL SERVICE will be held on Monday, April 13, 2026, at 12:00PM at the William W. Tripp Funeral Home, 1008 Newport Ave., Pawtucket. Interment will follow at Notre Dame Cemetery in Pawtucket.
VISITATION will be held at the Funeral Home prior to the service from 10:00AM-12:00PM.
