Martel, 49, formerly of Pawtucket, passed away on Saturday, March 7, 2020 at home surrounded by his loving family.
He was the husband of Mark Richards.
Born in Pawtucket, he was the son of Ronald Martel and his wife, Joanne, of Providence and Roberta (St.
Pierre) Martel and her late husband, Al Grzyb, of Central Falls.
Kevin graduated in 1988 from William M.
Career and Technical High School in Lincoln.
He was a meticulously skilled finish carpenter who worked for many years in the construction industry.
Kevin loved classic cars, music and spending precious time with his princess granddaughter.
Besides his husband and parents, he is survived by a son, Kevin Martel of Pawtucket; a granddaughter, Skyee Kayata; three brothers, Richard Martel and his wife, Dena, of California, Joseph T.
McGrath, Jr. of Pawtucket and Wayne Martel of Central Falls; a godson, Joseph T.
McGrath III of Pawtucket; a stepsister Chrissy Grzyb of Cumberland; three uncles, George St.
Pierre and his wife, Gertrude, of Cranston, Norman Martel and his wife, Ethel, of Attleboro, MA and Robert Martel and his late wife, Sandy, of Pawtucket; three nephews, Brandon, Nicholas and Brenden; a niece, Courtney; cousins, Troy, Barbara, Kayla, Kelsey, Brook, Christine, Dawn, Stephen, Billy, Norman, Rick and Greg; childhood friends, Al, Dimas, Bob and Gloria and his beloved Puggle, Sam.
A private memorial service will be celebrated at a later date.

Funeral arrangements are entrusted with Cheetham Funeral Home, 1012 Newport Ave., Pawtucket.
