Kent E. Tunnicliffe

March 9, 1941 — April 6, 2013

Cumberland - TUNNICLIFFE, Kent E., of Cumberland, passed away on April 6, 2013.

He was the devoted husband of Marie Tunnicliffe, to whom he was married for 49 years.

Born in Paterson, NJ to Joseph K. and Carmen B.

Tunnicliffe, he had lived in Rhode Island since 1951.

Kent was a person of great wisdom, kindness, and grace who enriched the lives of those around him.

He was a loving family man who enjoyed nothing more than being with his wife, children, and granddaughter.

He was a savvy businessman who co-started and operated a successful RI company that provides good jobs and benefits for its employees.

He was also a man of great generosity, be it in providing for his family or devoting time to his church.

Throughout his life, Kent’s other joys included traveling; helping his kids with home improvement projects; spending time with close friends; rooting for the Patriots; engaging in rousing games of basketball, table tennis, or lawn darts; and taking walks with his terrier.

He is lovingly remembered by his wife Marie; his daughter Kimberly M.

Tunnicliffe; his son Kent R.

Tunnicliffe and wife Meg and daughter Brooke; his daughter Kerri E.

Conway-Tunnicliffe and spouse Christine; and his brother Gary J.

He was also the brother of the late Richard A.

Tunnicliffe.Visitation is kindly omitted.

Relatives and friends are invited to a Mass of Christian Burial on Thursday, April 11 at 11AM in St.

John Vianney Church, 3609 Diamond Hill Road, Cumberland.

Burial will follow at Swan Point Cemetery in Providence.

In lieu of flowers, donations can be made to Miriam Hospital at www.miriamhospital.org.
