Kenneth G. Macgregor

Pawtucket – Kenneth G.

Mac Gregor, 74, passed away unexpectedly at home on Saturday, May 21, 2016.

He was the beloved husband of the late Phyllis (Coop) Mac Gregor.

Born in Boston, MA., he was a son of the late Kenneth F. and Agnes T. (Burke) Mac Gregor.

Army Veteran of the Vietnam War Era where he proudly served with the 101st Airborne Division.

He worked as an Industrial Engineer and Consultant for many area manufacturing firms over many years until his retirement.

After retirement he worked tirelessly in humanitarian efforts with folks struggling with alcohol and drug addictions.

Kenneth was also the founder of the RI Council on Problem Gambling.

In his younger years, Kenneth struggled with Alcoholism and was able to overcome it; achieving 48 years of sobriety.

Through his work he helped many hundreds and possibly thousands over the years to sobriety and recovery.

Kenneth leaves six sons and one daughter, Kenneth F.

Mac Gregor in Florida, Rob Roy Mac Gregor in South Carolina, Joseph Mac Gregor in Georgia, Joseph D.

Mac Gregor of Pascoag, Jaime T.

Mac Gregor of Holyoke, MA., Justin A.

Mac Gregor of North Providence, and Julia M.

Bertrand in RI., as well as many beloved grandchildren and great grandchildren.

He also leaves many nieces, nephews, grand-nieces and grand-nephews.

He was the father of the late Marie A.

Gonder and the late Lynn A.

Mac Gregor and the brother of the late Lucille LoPresti, Phillip and Paul Mac Gregor.

Visitation will be held on Friday May 27th, 2016 from 4 p.m. to 8 p.m. at WILLIAM W.

TRIPP Funeral Home, 1008 Newport Ave., Pawtucket RI.

Services with Military Honors will be held on Saturday, May 28th, 2016 at 10 a.m. at Calvin Presbyterian Church 126 Angell Rd.

Cumberland, RI. 02864, followed by interment at Highland Memorial Park Cemetery, 1 Rhode Island Ave.

All Venues are open to all who knew him and loved him.
