Pawtucket – Kenneth G. Mac Gregor, 74, passed away unexpectedly at home on Saturday, May 21, 2016. He was the beloved husband of the late Phyllis (Coop) Mac Gregor. Born in Boston, MA., he was a son of the late Kenneth F. and Agnes T. (Burke) Mac Gregor. Kenneth was a U.S. Army Veteran of the Vietnam War Era where he proudly served with the 101st Airborne Division. He worked as an Industrial Engineer and Consultant for many area manufacturing firms over many years until his retirement. After retirement he worked tirelessly in humanitarian efforts with folks struggling with alcohol and drug addictions. Kenneth was also the founder of the RI Council on Problem Gambling. In his younger years, Kenneth struggled with Alcoholism and was able to overcome it; achieving 48 years of sobriety. Through his work he helped many hundreds and possibly thousands over the years to sobriety and recovery. Kenneth leaves six sons and one daughter, Kenneth F.
