Pawtucket – Kenneth “Grampy” D.
Neal, 85, passed away on Thursday, May 14, 2020 at the Waterview Villa in East Providence.
He was the beloved husband of Edna M. (Westgate) Neal for 64 years.
Born in Providence, he resided most of his life in Pawtucket and was one of twelve children of the late Harold and Ruth (Woods) Neal.
Ken served in the United States Navy aboard the USS Lake Champlain.
He went on to work as a toolmaker in local machine shops, particularly the Frank Morrow Company, Providence where he retired as the head tool maker in 1998.
Ken also taught toolmaking at William M.
Davies, Jr., Career and Technical High School in Lincoln.
He was a longtime member of the Garfield Social Club and was very handy with fixing and repairing just about anything.
Ken enjoyed carpentry, plumbing, electrical and all kinds of other handiwork.
He also enjoyed camping with his family and many dear friends.
Ken will be lovingly remembered by all whose lives he has touched over the past 85 years.
Besides his loving wife, he leaves three children, Thomas K.
Neal and his wife, Jean, Joanne M.
Bonollo and her husband, Carl, and Katherine D.
Parent and her husband, Doug, all of Pawtucket; eight grandchildren; fourteen great-grandchildren and many nieces and nephews.
He was predeceased by his beloved daughter, Carol Ann Neal.
Relatives and friends are welcome to attend a Mass of Christian Burial at 11 a.m. on Wednesday, July 15th at St.
Cecilia Church, 755 Central Ave., Pawtucket.
Interment at Notre Dame Cemetery will be private.
