Attleboro, MA – Kayla St. George, 39, passed away on Tuesday, September 8, 2026. Born in Providence, RI she was the beloved daughter of Roger W. St. George of North Providence, RI and Jo-Ann (Choquet) St. George-Apgar of Seekonk, MA.
Kayla graduated from Seekonk High School in 2005 and had a lifelong love of animals that inspired her future studies. She served her college internship at Mystic Aquarium before graduating from Rhode Island College. Kayla became a zookeeper and worked at several zoos before her latest job at Capron Park Zoo in Attleboro, MA. She also had a great love of music and enjoyed attending live music concerts. Kayla was a member of the Providence Drum Troupe and a former member of the Bristol County Fifes & Drums Corps.
Along with her parents, she leaves behind her siblings, Nicole St. George of North Providence, RI and Justin St. George of Fresno, CA; her stepfather, Robert Apgar; her stepbrother, Robert Apgar II; her grandmother, Doris Fasulo; several aunts, uncles, and cousins and her loving companion, Gregory Bass.
VISITATION will be held on Friday, September 18, 2026, from 4:00PM-7:00PM at the WILLIAM W. TRIPP Funeral Home, 1008 Newport Avenue, Pawtucket, RI.
In lieu of flowers, memorial donations may be made to: Capron Park Zoo, 201 County St, Attleboro, Massachusetts 02703-3510.
