North Attleboro – Katherine “Kay” D. (Gillan) MacTavish Gibbons, 92, passed away peacefully at home on Saturday, October 31, 2015.

She was the beloved wife of the late Benjamin MacTavish and the late Charles A.

Born in Central Falls, RI, a daughter of the late Francis, Sr. and Cecilia (O’Neill) Gillan, she resided in Pawtucket, North Attleboro and South Attleboro over seventy-five years before returning to North Attleboro one and a half years ago.

Kay enjoyed being a patient representative for forty years at Lifespan, Providence before retiring in 2010.

She was the loving mother of Maureen Abbenante and her husband, Thomas of Glenville, NY, Benjamin MacTavish and his wife, Donna of Naples, FL and Estes Park, CO, Colleen MacTavish-Thurber and her husband, Bob of North Attleboro and the late Michael MacTavish.

Grandmother of Blake Abbenante and his wife, Theodora, Jason and Nicholas Abbenante, Kristen MacTavish, Samuel Thurber and the late Sarah McCracken-Gauvin.

Great-grandmother of Sydnee, Trey, Zachary, Brando, Julia, Hannah and Isabella, and aunt to several nieces and nephews.

She was the sister of the late Francis Gillan, Jr., Sister Cecilia Gillan and James Gillan.

VISITATION will begin Thursday at 9 a.m. at WILLIAM W.

TRIPP Funeral Home, 1008 Newport Ave., Pawtucket, followed by a Mass of Christian Burial at 11 a.m. in St.

Theresa of the Child Jesus Church, 18 Baltic St., So.

Interment will be private.

In lieu of flowers, memorial gifts to Community VNA Hospice, 10 Emory St., Attleboro, MA 02703 would be appreciated.
