Karen Marie Scheer

Rumford - Karen M. (Faford) Scheer, 71, passed away peacefully surrounded by her loving family on Sunday, February 9th, 2025.

Born in Central Falls, she was a daughter of the late Donald J. and Theresa G. (Dery) Faford.

She had resided in Pawtucket before moving to Rumford forty-six years ago.

She was the beloved wife of Harvey "Hap" D.

Scheer for fifty-one years.

Karen dedicated her career to her work as a Machinist at Toray Plastics in Quonset, RI, where she specialized as a CNC Lathe Operator.

Her diligence and skill in her craft were respected and admired by her colleagues and friends.

Besides her husband, "Hap", she leaves her loving Cavachon, "Buddy" and her stepdaughter, Rhonda Hallal.

Karen is also lovingly remembered by her siblings, Gloria C.

Faford, Jr., Marie J.

Bottone and Bonnie J.

Saritelli-Mitchell; and many nieces, nephews, great-nieces and great-nephews.

She was the sister of the late Joanne Smith, Claudette McAuliffe, and Ronald Faford.

Karen will be deeply missed by those who had the privilege to know her, but her warmth, kindness, and unwavering love for her family will be cherished forever.

Karen’s family and friends will gather for a Celebration of Life in the spring.

Visitation and flowers are respectfully omitted.
