North Attleboro – Karen M.

McMahon, 73, passed away on Thursday, July 24, 2025.

She was the daughter of the late Patrick S., II and Evelyn E. (Gavin) McMahon.

Raised in Pawtucket, Karen earned her degree in nursing and went on to work as a registered nurse at the Charlesgate Nursing Home in Providence for over thirty-five years.

She developed lasting friendships with many of the long-term patients she cared for and leaves her mark on all those whose lives she has touched over her long and rewarding career.

Karen was a devout Catholic and a longtime parishioner at the former St.

Theresa of the Child Jesus Church, South Attleboro until the parish closed three weeks ago.

She was a lover of animals and enjoyed caring for her beloved canine companions, especially German Shepherds and most recently her beloved, “Kosima”.

She will be lovingly remembered by her family, friends and extended family.

Karen leaves her brother, Patrick S.

McMahon, III and his wife, Barbara; a nephew, Patrick S.

McMahon, IV and his wife, Bridget; and a niece, Michaela M.

Whitcomb and her husband, Brian, all of Cranston; seven grand-nieces and nephews; many cousins, including, Mimi Leveille of Block Island, Claire Sweet of Wakefield, Brian Fitzgerald of Tallahassee, FL, Cheryl Whitford of Lincoln, Kathleen Flaherty McGowan of Mattapoisett, MA, Michael Flaherty of Barrington, and John Flaherty of Slatersville.

She was predeceased by her beloved cousin, Patricia Ludorf, for whom she provided care for many years.

VISITATION will be held on Wednesday, July 30th from 9 a.m. to 10:15 a.m. at WILLIAM W.

TRIPP Funeral Home, 1008 Newport Ave., Pawtucket, followed by a Mass of Christian Burial at 11 a.m. in St.

Joseph Church of Holy Family Parish, 195 Walcott St., Pawtucket.

Interment will follow at Mount Saint Mary Cemetery. www.TrippFuneralHome.com
