North Attleboro – Karen A. (Glaude) Barnabe, 64, passed away on Thursday, September 14, 2023.
She was the beloved wife of Gerard “Gerry” O.
Barnabe for thirty-seven loving years.
Born in Providence, she was the daughter of the late Leo A., Sr. and Mary V. (Kelly) Glaude.
Karen worked for many years at the Chemawa Golf Course in North Attleboro until her recent semi-retirement.
She was still working the Thursday Senior League at Chemawa each week.
Karen enjoyed camping at Johnson Pond, shopping at the Dollar Store and the former Christmas Tree Shops, going to dinner with friends and diamond painting.
She also loved cats and was a longtime volunteer at the North Attleboro Animal Shelter.
Above all, Karen will be lovingly remembered by all whose lives she has touched over the past sixty-four years.
Besides her loving husband, Karen leaves her children, Steven Reis, Jr. and his wife, Monica, of Seekonk and Nicholas Reis on Cape Cod, three grandchildren, Emma, Xavier and Gage; three stepchildren, Dawn Barnabe of Pawtucket, Gerard O.
Barnabe, Jr. and his wife, Chrissy, in New Hampshire and Jennifer Barnabe of Seekonk; an aunt, Eva Caron and several nieces and nephews.
She was the sister of the late David Glaude.
VISITATION will be held on Friday, September 22nd from 8:30 a.m. to 9:15 a.m. at WILLIAM W.
TRIPP Funeral Home, 1008 Newport Ave., Pawtucket, followed by a Mass of Christian Burial at 10 a.m. in St.
Theresa of the Child Jesus Church, 18 Baltic St., South Attleboro.
In lieu of flowers, memorial gifts to the North Attleboro Animal Shelter, 40 Cedar Rd., North Attleboro, MA 02760 would be appreciated.
