June "June Bug" E. Alix

Pawtucket – June “June Bug” E. (Smiley) Alix, 89, passed away peacefully on Wednesday, February 13, 2019. She was the beloved wife of the late Albert W. Alix, Sr. A lifelong resident of Pawtucket, she was a daughter of the late Harold and Blanche (Goodwin) Smiley. June worked for the State of Rhode Island as a claim’s examiner in the Department of Employment Security for many years until her retirement. She was a former member of the Darlington Congregational Church, Pawtucket. June was an avid walker and enjoyed walking at the Emerald Square Mall in North Attleboro and throughout her neighborhood in Pawtucket. She also enjoyed traveling, going to dinner with family and friends, and attending Las Vegas shows. Above all, June was devoted to her family. Her kindness and generosity will always be cherished by her children, grandchildren and great-grandchildren. June leaves three children, Albert W.
