Pawtucket – June A. (Nazarian) Albert, 89, passed away peacefully at her home with family by her side on Monday, November 18, 2024.
She was the beloved wife of Abraham “Bee” Albert for sixty-five loving years.
A lifelong resident of Pawtucket, she was a daughter of the late Zakie B. and Amenia (Nahas) Nazarian.
June worked as an executive assistant in the Office of the Governor of the State of Rhode Island, for Governor J.
Joseph Garrahy and subsequently as a top sales consultant and producer for Princess House; and most recently as a secretary for special education at the Pawtucket School Department before enjoying a life of retirement.
June was very dedicated to her church, St.
Ephraim Syriac Orthodox Church in Central Falls, where she volunteered on many of the church activities and was a vital member of the ladies’ society.
She was also a past president of the PTA at the J.
Potter Elementary School in Pawtucket.
June was quite the amazing cook who embraced her middle eastern heritage and opened her home for all to enjoy.
She was devoted to her family and friends and will be lovingly remembered by the many lives she has touched over the past eighty-nine years.
Besides her beloved husband, June leaves five children, Sharon Pedro and her husband, Steven, of Pawtucket, Susan MacLeod and her husband, Carl, of North Myrtle Beach, South Carolina, John Albert and his wife, Marion, of South Attleboro, Kevin Albert and his partner, Helen of Pawtucket and Mark Albert of Providence; four grandchildren, Stacy Pedro, Stephanie Thompson and her husband Andrew, Michael and David Albert; one great-grandson on the way.
She also leaves three siblings, Dr.
John Nazarian, her twin sister May Gabriel and her husband, Albert, and Donna Salhany; two sisters-in-law, Patricia Nazarian, Ann Valentine and many nieces and nephews.
She was the sister of the late Fabian, Michael, Sippi, Fred and Judge George Nazarian, Mary Zompa and Josephine Apostolou.
The funeral will be held on Monday, November 25th at 10 a.m. from WILLIAM W.
TRIPP Funeral Home, 1008 Newport Ave., followed by a Funeral Liturgy at 11 a.m. in St.
Ephraim Syriac Orthodox Church, 215 Washington St., Central Falls.
Interment will follow at Swan Point Cemetery in Providence.
VISITATION will be held on Sunday, November 24th from 4 p.m. to 7 p.m. at the funeral home.
In lieu of flowers, memorial gift to either St.
Ephriam Church or VNA of Care New England Hospice, 51 Health Lane, Warwick, RI 02886 would be appreciated.
