Barrington – Joyce M. (Major) Curtin, 67, passed away peacefully on Monday, December 5, 2022.

Born in Providence and a longtime resident of Long Beach, CA, she was the daughter of the late Eugene and Yvonne (Marquis) Major.

Joyce worked for many years as a customer service representative for various credit unions including Marquette Credit Union of Woonsocket, RI and Partners Federal Credit Union (Disneyland) of California.

Joyce leaves three siblings, Susan Vierra and her husband, the late Donald Vierra of South Attleboro, Jean Letourneau and her husband, Ronald, of Pawtucket, and Robert Major and his wife, Gail, of Warren; three nieces, Darlene Veira and her wife, Tina, of Pawtucket, Jennifer Beaulieu and her husband, Ken, of Woonsocket, and Rebekah Major of Bristol; three nephews, Tobias Major of Roslindale, Jered Letourneau and his wife, Jen, of Pawtucket, and Jason Letourneau and his wife, Sandy, of Manville; great-nieces and nephews, great-great nieces and nephews, extended family and cherished friends.

Joyce had a love for animals and held her dog and many cats close to her heart.

She enjoyed trips to Twin River, Foxwoods, and Las Vegas to play the slots.

She loved to travel, especially to places with beaches, palm trees and pelicans.

A devoted daughter, sister, aunt, and friend, she cherished her relationships with the people that surrounded her.

Joyce was blessed with many beautiful friendships.

Her friends were a family she chose for herself.

She loved to share stories and pictures about her family and friends, especially posting all those pictures of Alicia and Dalilah.

Being by the ocean was her happy place.

It brought her joy, comfort, and peace.

The funeral will be held on Saturday at 10 a.m. from WILLIAM W.

TRIPP Funeral Home, 1008 Newport Ave., followed by Services at 11 a.m. at Notre Dame Cemetery Chapel, 359 Daggett Ave., Pawtucket.

VISITATION will be held on Friday from 4 p.m. to 7 p.m.

In lieu of flowers, it would be appreciated if memorial gifts were made to a charity of your own choosing.
