Pawtucket – Josephine “Rose” Rosaline (Provost) Robitaille, 102, formerly of Evergreen St., passed away Tuesday, May 26, 2015.
She was the beloved wife of the late Romeo Joseph Robitaille.
Born in Manville on February 9, 1913, she was the youngest and last survivor of six children born to the late Pierre and Delia (Dulude) Provost, formerly of Millville, Manville, Ashton, Cumberland and Pawtucket.
Rose, as she was called by family and friends, while being a dedicated wife and raising her children was also office manager for the family business, Romeo’s Oil Service, until the retirement of her husband, Romeo.
She was a longtime communicant of St.
Teresa’s Church and a former member of the Church Choir and Rosary and Altar Society for many years.
Rose had resided in Pawtucket since 1944.
She cherished her family, and in her younger years would enjoy spending time with her children going on hikes, bike rides and visiting friends in her old neighborhood of Central Falls and relatives in Woonsocket.
Having been born and raised through two great wars and the great depression, she knew what hardship was and it left an indelible mark on her.
She was a caring and giving person, ready to help where help was needed, whether it was family, friends or customers, she was always there.
She is survived by her two sons, Romeo A.

Robitaille of Pawtucket, Diane M.
Robitaille of East Providence, Denise M.
Turcotte of Seekonk, Suzanne Patenaude of Attleboro and Sandra Whitten of Glocester; six great-grandchildren, Heather L.
Robitaille, Jr., Nicole Whitten, Alix J.
Whitten, Mason Turcotte and Tyler Turcotte and two great-great-grandchildren, Nathan and Rylee Thurber.
Her funeral will be held Monday at 9 a.m. from WILLIAM W.
TRIPP Funeral Home, 1008 Newport Ave., Pawtucket, followed by a Mass of Christian Burial at 10 a.m. in St.
Teresa Church, 358 Newport Ave.
Interment will follow at Notre Dame Cemetery.
VISITATION will be Sunday 2 to 5 p.m.
