Joseph L. Roy

North Providence – Joseph L. Roy, 81, passed away on Monday, August 30, 2021. He was the beloved husband of Camille L. (St. Peter) Roy and the late Claire M. (Caouette) Roy. Born in Pawtucket, he was a son of the late Valrian A. and Mary T. (Salhany) Roy. Joe graduated from William E. Tolman High School (formerly Pawtucket West High School) and began a career in the prescription drug industry working for Providence Wholesale Drug. In more recent times he worked as a pharmacy technician at the Eleanor Slater Hospital – Zambarano Unit, for thirty years until his retirement. In his younger days, Joe tended bar at the former Admiral Inn, Cumberland and worked part-time for an inventory accounting business. Joe enjoyed traveling, working on cars, attending his grandchildren's sporting events, and spending time with his family and friends.
