Peters, Sr., 64, passed away on Sunday, January 3, 2021 in Maineville, Ohio.

He was the beloved partner of Ted Ferland of Maineville, Ohio.

Born in Pawtucket, he was the son of the late George Sr., and Theresa E. (Lawrence) Peters.

A veteran of the United States Coast Guard, Joe graduated in 1976 from William M.

Career and Technical High School in Lincoln.

He continued his education at Johnson and Wales University where he studied Business Administration.

Born and raised in Pawtucket, Joe was the original proprietor of the former Speaking Plants on Armistice Boulevard.

He worked as a manager for Select Comfort in North Carolina for many years.

Joe was a former member and Past Chapter Master Councilor of the Pawtucket DeMolay Chapter from 1973 to 1974 and Past State Master Counselor from 1975 to 1976.

He enjoyed traveling, attending plays, making new friends, and playing computer games.

Besides his partner, he is survived by four children, Theresa Schecter of Cranston, Christine Hayden of Riverside, Danielle Lenore of Johnston and Noel MacDavitt of North Carolina; three grandchildren, Joshua, Eva and Nathaniel; a sister, Pamela Aguiar and her husband, Dale, of Pawtucket; a brother, George F.

Peters, Jr. of Woonsocket; a niece, Alicia Aguiar Medeiros and her husband, Derek, of Pawtucket; a nephew, Michael Aguiar, also of Pawtucket; a nephew and godson, Brandon Aguiar of Pawtucket; three grand-nephews, Jayden, Dylan and Cameron; a grand-niece, Alayna and his three beloved dogs, Buster, Bear and Bella.

Family and friends are invited to attend a Mass of Christian Burial on Friday at 11 a.m. in St.

Teresa Church, 358 Newport Ave, Pawtucket.

Interment in the family plot at Mount St.

Mary Cemetery, Pawtucket, will be private.

In lieu of flowers, memorial gifts to the Leukemia & Lymphoma Society, 2348 Post Rd., Unit 202, Warwick, RI 02886 would be appreciated.
