Joseph R. Meagher, Jr.

Meagher, Jr., 89, passed away on Tuesday, August 15, 2023.

He was the beloved husband of the late Joan M. (Ouellette) Meagher.

Born in Providence, he was a son of the late Joseph R., Sr. and Elizabeth (Lavery) Meagher.

Joe proudly served in the United States Army during the Korean War and was a member of American Legion Post 302, Rehoboth.

He was also a longtime member of the Rehoboth Senior Citizens.

Joe had been employed by A&P Bakery, Geigy Chemical and Olin Hunt before retiring.

He leaves two sons, Joseph R.

Meagher, III and his wife, Linda, and James P.

Meagher and his wife, Carmel; six grandchildren, Matthew Meagher and his wife, Maura, Katie Sweeney and her husband, Mike, Kevin Meagher and his wife, Steph, Janine Wunschel and her husband, Chad, Kelly Pacheco and her husband, Kyle, Mike Meagher and his fiancée, Caitlyn Donnelly, and eleven great-grandchildren.

He was the brother of the late Mary Moccio, Dorothy Kurbiec, William Meagher and Thomas Meagher.

Visitation will be held on Monday, August 28, 2023 from 9 a.m. to 10:15 a.m. at William W.

Tripp Funeral Home, 1008 Newport Ave., Pawtucket, followed by a Mass of Christian Burial at 11 a.m. in St.

Theresa of the Child Jesus Church, 18 Baltic St., South Attleboro.

Interment will follow at the Massachusetts National Cemetery, Bourne, Massachusetts.
