Attleboro – Joseph “Joe” “Gerry” Gerard Laquerre, 78, of South Attleboro, passed away on Christmas Eve, Wednesday, December 24, 2014. He was the former husband of Louise (Rzemien) Thomas of North Attleboro. Born in Central Falls, a son of the late Joseph George Laquerre and Clerina (Deshaies) Laquerre, he resided in North Attleboro before moving to South Attleboro thirty-five years ago. Gerry attended St. Matthew’s School and graduated from Sacred Heart Academy, Central Falls. He was a Korean War U.S. Army veteran. Gerry was an electroplater in the jewelry industry for many years, he was employed by several companies in the Greater Attleboro area including Hilsinger of Plainville, Swift & Fisher of North Attleboro and LeStage Manufacturing Company, North Attleboro before retiring from the Marathon Company. After retiring ten years ago, Joe became a sales associate in the electrical department at the Home Depot, South Attleboro.
