Attleboro – Joseph “Joe” “Gerry” Gerard Laquerre, 78, of South Attleboro, passed away on Christmas Eve, Wednesday, December 24, 2014.

He was the former husband of Louise (Rzemien) Thomas of North Attleboro.

Born in Central Falls, a son of the late Joseph George Laquerre and Clerina (Deshaies) Laquerre, he resided in North Attleboro before moving to South Attleboro thirty-five years ago.

Matthew’s School and graduated from Sacred Heart Academy, Central Falls.

He was a Korean War U.S.

Gerry was an electroplater in the jewelry industry for many years, he was employed by several companies in the Greater Attleboro area including Hilsinger of Plainville, Swift & Fisher of North Attleboro and LeStage Manufacturing Company, North Attleboro before retiring from the Marathon Company.

After retiring ten years ago, Joe became a sales associate in the electrical department at the Home Depot, South Attleboro.

He was an avid NASCAR and Yankees fan and enjoyed camping, cribbage, casino’s and a good cup of coffee.

Gerry was preparing to celebrate his fortieth anniversary with AA.

Besides his former wife, he leaves a daughter, Celeste E.

D’Elia of North Providence; a son, Brian G.

Laquerre and his wife, Heidi of Lincoln; five grandchildren, Nicole E.

D’Elia, IV, Calista C.

D’Elia; a brother, Joseph Rene Laquerre and his wife, Elaine of Coventry; a sister, Rose Damas with whom he made his home and many nieces and nephews.

He was the brother of the late Joseph Henry Laquerre.

VISITATION will begin Friday, January 2, 2015 at 5 p.m. followed by Services at 7 P.M. at WILLIAM W.

TRIPP Funeral Home, 1008 Newport Ave., Pawtucket.

In lieu of flowers, memorial gifts to St.

Jude Children’s Research Hospital, P.O.
