Joseph M. Fournier

Pawtucket – Joseph M. Fournier, 89, passed away Tuesday, December 16, 2014. He was the beloved husband of Doris E. (Fontaine) Fournier for sixty-six years. Born in Central Falls, a son of the late Raoul and Laura (Riendeau) Fournier, he resided in Pawtucket most of his life. Joe was a World War II U.S. Navy veteran. He was a textile chemist at Riverpoint Lace Works, West Warwick for many years until retiring in 1987, and then worked part-time for ADP for ten years. Joe was a former member and Past-President 1975 – 1976 of the International Management Council and a former member of the International Association of Textile Chemists and Colorists. He enjoyed golfing and winter trips to Florida, but most of all, he loved spending time with his family. Besides his wife, he leaves four daughters and their husbands, Claudia and Larry Norman, Elizabeth and Robert Randall, Diane and Mark Duphily and Donna and Michael Normand; a sister, Claire Benoit; eight grandchildren and five great-grandchildren.
