Joseph A. Dufort

Westport – Joseph A. Dufort, 69, passed away on Saturday, October 7, 2017. He was the beloved husband of Diane M. (Thibeault) Dufort. Born in Attleboro, he was a son of the late Joseph A. and Gertrude (Swistak) Dufort. Joseph was an educator in the Providence School System for many years and later served as the Director of Health, Science and Technology Academy, retiring in 2004. Besides his loving wife, he leaves his beloved children, three daughters, Ava D. Gagnon and her husband, Rene L., of Westport, Fay J. Dufort, Ph.D., of Brookline, Lauren L. Rossi, Ph.D. and her husband, Christopher, of Westport; a son, Seth J. Dufort and his fiancée, Denise Fortin, of Westport; three cherished grandchildren, Lucien J. Gagnon, Genevieve A. Rossi and Gabriel D. Rossi; six siblings, Mary-Jayne Brillon, of Attleboro, James F. Dufort, of Attleboro, John D. Dufort, of Rehoboth, Jerome D. Dufort, of Harpers Ferry, WV, Jay J.
