Pawtucket - Joseph Donald Cooke, 87, died Tuesday, January 31, 2012 at Legacy House, Hospice of Ocala, Florida. He was the husband of the late Florence (Paull) Cooke to whom he was married for 64 years. Born in Norfolk, Virginia to the late Arthur and Lena (Mcencrowe) Cooke, Joseph served in the United States Navy during World War II where he was wounded. A Disabled American Veteran, he was a member of Redman Chapter DAV, Pawtucket. He had served as the Sergeant-at-Arms. Employed as an Engineer for Polaroid Corp. for over thirty years, he retired in 1985. Joseph leaves two daughters, Susan L. Cadieux and Daniel Johns of Ocala, Florida, and Linda C. Stanley and Michol Guilbault of Pawtucket; one brother, Joseph Charles Cooke of Whitman, Massachusetts; one sister, Florence Mills of Findlay, Ohio; one grandson, three granddaughters, and six great-grandchildren.
