Pawtucket - Joseph Alphonsus Coleman, 87, passed away on Friday, December 26, 2025. He was the loving husband of Carole Ellen (Charrette) Coleman for nearly sixty-six years. Born in Providence, he was the son of the late Marion Coleman.
Joseph began his working career at the early age of thirteen as an employee for Ryder Transportation. A devout Catholic, he was a parishioner of St. Teresa Parish in Pawtucket. Joseph was a dedicated husband, father, grandfather, and great-grandfather. He enjoyed coaching and refereeing for local sports leagues, relaxing with television, and spending time with his family.
Alongside his wife, he leaves behind his beloved children, Brian J. Coleman (Marsha) of Beverly Hills, FL, Kevin M. Coleman (Barbara L.) of Pawtucket, and Lisa M. Coleman (Deborah) of Pawtucket, grandchildren, Bethany, Andrew, Travis, Haley, Michael, and John, and great-grandchildren, Jacob, Lucas, and Sophie.
The Funeral will be held on Monday, January 5, 2026, at 9a.m. from the WILLIAM W. TRIPP Funeral Home, 1008 Newport Ave., Pawtucket followed by a Mass of Christian Burial to be celebrated at 10a.m. at St. Teresa of the Child Jesus Church, 358 Newport Ave. Pawtucket.
VISITATION will be held at the Funeral Home on Sunday, January 4, 2026, from 4p.m. to 7p.m.
