Joseph R. Blake

Seekonk – Joseph R. Blake, 89, passed away on Wednesday, November 21, 2018. He was the beloved husband of Susan A. (Bejma) Blake for thirty-one years. Born in Attleboro, he was a son of the late David E. and Marie Ida (Poirier) Blake. Joe served in the United States Army and went on to become a Master Electrician. He was a longtime member of Rehoboth Country Club, where Joe enjoyed a good round of golf followed by an ice-cold bottle of beer. In addition to being an avid golfer, Joe enjoyed skiing and snowmobiling during the winter months. Besides his loving wife, Joe leaves a son, Patrick Blake of Wickford, RI; a daughter, Linda McWhinnie of Fayetteville, NC; two brothers, Richard and Donald Blake; a sister, Elaine Blake; six grandchildren and nine great-grandchildren. He was the father of the late Nick Blake and the brother of the late David Blake and Muriel Allenson.
