Jose Pedro Veiga

Pawtucket – Jose Pedro Veiga, 64, passed away peacefully with all of his loving family by his side on Thursday, February 2, 2017. Born in Brava, Cape Verde Islands, a son of the late Pedro and Felisberta (Fernandes) Veiga, he resided in Pawtucket over 45 years. Jose was a Merchant Marine with ExxonMobil for many years until retiring. He was extremely talented, and was well versed in history and the musical arts. Father of Felicia, Maggie, Jasmine, Benjamin and the late Alex. Brother of Maria Paulo, Ana V. Texeira and Alex Veiga. He also leaves four grandchildren, five nieces and five nephews. His funeral will be held Tuesday at 9 a.m. from WILLIAM W. TRIPP Funeral Home, 1008 Newport Ave., Pawtucket, followed by a Mass of Christian Burial at 10 a.m. in St. Teresa Church, 358 Newport Ave. Interment will follow at Swan Point Cemetery, Blackstone Blvd., Providence.
