Jose Dos Reis

Pawtucket – José Dos Reis, 84, passed away unexpectedly on Wednesday, August 18, 2021.

He was the beloved husband of Ivone (Portugal) Dos Reis for fifty-nine years.

Born in Portugal, he was the son of the late Jose and Candida Dos Reis.

Dos Reis immigrated to the United States with his family in 1969 and settled in Pawtucket.

He worked as a machine operator at American Insulated Wire, Pawtucket, for over forty years prior to retiring.

José enjoyed gardening, especially tending to this tomato plants as well as spending quality time with his grandchildren and family.

Besides his beloved wife, he is survived by a son, Francisco Dos Reis of Rehoboth and granddaughter, Francesca; a daughter, Virginia Allard and her husband, Gerard, of Rehoboth and grandchildren, Matthew, Michael, Lindsay and Sean; three siblings, Joao Dos Reis, Maria Jose Ribeiro and Candida Santos and many nieces and nephews.

He was the brother of the late Ilda Cardoso and Joaquim Dos Reis, and uncle of the late Joao Dos Reis.

His funeral will be held on Thursday beginning at 9:30 a.m. from WILLIAM W.

TRIPP Funeral Home, 1008 Newport Ave., Pawtucket, followed by a Mass of Christian Burial at 12:00 p.m. in St.

Teresa Church, 358 Newport Ave., Pawtucket.

Interment will follow at Mount St.

Mary Cemetery, Pawtucket.
