Jose M. Pimentel

Pimentel, 74, passed away peacefully at home on Saturday, September 19, 2020.

He was the beloved husband of Maria Ines (Moniz) Pimentel for forty-six years.

Born in Povocao, Sao Miguel, Acores, he was a son of the late Gil and Honorina (Figueiro) Pimentel.

Jose worked for many years at Key Container Corporation in Pawtucket until his retirement.

He was also an avid gardener and loved to work in both his yard and his son’s yard caring for the flowers, shrubs, and lawn.

Jose was known by family and friends as “Landscaper Pimentel”.

He enjoyed traveling, especially to the Acores.

Jose was proud of his Portuguese heritage and a devoted fan of Benfica.

He will be remembered lovingly as a humble and kind man, who always put others ahead of himself.

Jose was always willing to lend a helping hand to his family, friends and neighbors.

Besides his loving wife, Jose leaves a son, Joe M.

Pimentel of North Providence; three sisters, Celia Couto, Urselina Leite and Inez Serodio all of Pawtucket, and many nieces and nephews.

He was the brother of the late Gil Pereira and Manuel Pimentel.

Relatives and friends are welcome to attend a Mass of Christian Burial on Thursday at 12:30 p.m. in St.

Teresa Church, 358 Newport Ave., Pawtucket.

Interment will follow at Mount Saint Mary Cemetery.

VISITATION will be Wednesday from 4 to 7 p.m. at WILLIAM W.
