Jose A. Meneses

Pawtucket – Jose A. Meneses, 88, passed away on Tuesday, March 5, 2019. He was the beloved husband of Noelia (Costa) Meneses for nearly seventy years. Born in Terceira, Açores, Portugal, he was of nine children of the late Jose and Gerônema (Mancebo) Meneses. Jose was a communicant of St. Anthony Church, Pawtucket and worked for many years as a self-employed carpenter. Besides his loving wife, he leaves a daughter, Dina DaCosta of Central Falls; five grandchildren, Stephenie DaCosta, Ashley Poirier, Casey Poirier, Jason DaCosta and Scott DaCosta; three great-grandchildren, Elias Pena, Eden Poirier and Sophia DaCosta and many nieces and nephews. He was the father of the late Filomena M. Poirier. His funeral will be held on Monday at 11 a.m. from WILLIAM W. TRIPP Funeral Home, 1008 Newport Ave., Pawtucket, followed by a Mass of Christian Burial at Noon in St. Anthony Church, 32 Lawn Ave., Pawtucket. Interment will follow at Gate of Heaven Cemetery, East Providence. VISITATION will be Sunday from 2 to 5 p.m....
