Botelho, 74, passed away on Thursday, June 23, 2022, surrounded by his loving family.
He was the beloved husband of Maria D. (Simas) Botelho for forty-eight years.
Born in Sao Miguel, Azores, he was the son of the late Joao and Maria Julia Botelho.
Jose immigrated to the United States in 1966 and settled in Pawtucket where he raised his family.
He was a longtime parishioner of St.
Cecilia Church, Pawtucket, and worked as a machine operator at the former Engelhard Corporation in Warwick.
Jose was a member of the Portuguese American Club, Attleboro, MA, where he enjoyed spending time and socializing.
Besides his loving wife, he is survived by two daughters, Nancy Botelho and her partner, Joao Silva, of Seekonk, MA, and Joyce Romano and her husband, David, of Warwick; four grandchildren, Jasmyn, Jizelle, Christian and Parisa; two brothers, Joao Botelho of East Providence and Dimas Botelho of Cumberland and many nieces and nephews.
He was the brother of the late Trindade Cabral.
His funeral will be held on Tuesday beginning with visitation at 8:30 a.m. in WILLIAM W.
TRIPP Funeral Home, 1008 Newport Ave., Pawtucket, followed by a Mass of Christian Burial at 11:00 a.m. in St.
John Paul II), 755 Central Ave., Pawtucket.
Interment will follow in Notre Dame Cemetery, Pawtucket.
