John J. Tansey, Jr.

Seekonk – John J. Tansey, Jr., 76, passed away on Friday, July 29, 2022. He was the beloved husband of Susan E. (Thompson) Tansey. Born in Pawtucket, he was a son of the late John J., Sr. and Mary E. (Pope) Tansey. John resided in Seekonk most of his life. He had been employed by Morse Sand & Gravel, Attleboro, as well as by his many friends who had horses and livestock. John was known to be a very helpful person. Besides his wife, he leaves a daughter, Cynthia L. Tansey; three grandchildren, Matthew J. Tansey, Jr., Amelia Tansey and Jamie L. Tansey and two nieces. He was the father of the late Jamie L. Tansey and Matthew J. Tansey, Sr. and the brother of the late Thomas T. Tansey. Visitation will begin on Wednesday, August 3, 2022 at 10:30 a.m. followed by Services at 11:30 a.m. at WILLIAM W. TRIPP Funeral Home, 1008 Newport Ave., Pawtucket.
