John M. Ogni

Johnston - John M. Ogni, 87, formerly of Pawtucket, passed away peacefully on Tuesday, June 23, 2026. Born in Pawtucket, he was a son of the late Angelo J. and Gertrude (Loughran) Ogni.

John was a United States Air Force Veteran and served in Greenland for a significant portion of his military career. He later graduated from Bryant University and spent many years working in banking. John was a Trust Accountant at the former Hospital Trust, Bank Boston and Bank of America, from where John retired.

In his leisure time, he was a voracious reader and enjoyed hiking, playing tennis, and was a competitive chess player, having participated in tournaments across the United States. A devoted sports enthusiast, John loved following all the local New England teams.

He is survived by his sister, Sheila Petrucci and her husband, Richard, of Lincoln, RI; two nephews, Richard J. Petrucci, Jr. of Cranston, RI and Christian M. Petrucci of Philadelphia, PA and nine great-nieces and great-nephews.

VISITATION will be held on Tuesday, June 30th from 9:30 a.m. to 10:30 a.m. at WILLIAM W. TRIPP Funeral Home, 1008 Newport Ave., Pawtucket, followed by a Mass of Christian Burial at 11 a.m. in St. Teresa Church, 358 Newport Ave., Pawtucket. Interment with Military Honors will follow at Mount Saint Mary Cemetery.
