John Paul "JP" Normandin

Pawtucket – John Paul “JP” Normandin, 64, passed away on Tuesday, September 15, 2026. He was the loving husband of the late Donna Normandin. Born in Pawtucket, he was the son of the late Wilfred J. and Winifred M. (Morehouse) Normandin.

John served in the United States Navy and worked as a skilled carpenter for many years, specializing in custom cabinetry. He belonged to various carpentry groups, including Urban Building, Walking Stick Makers, Woodcraft Creations, and Busy Woodworking. John’s own life experiences made him extremely compassionate, and he was always willing to support others in their own struggles; especially by volunteering for alcoholic recovery groups. When John wasn’t working or volunteering, he loved listening to music and spending time by the ocean.

He leaves behind his son, Travis Racine of Florida, his grandchildren, Boston and Georgia, his siblings, Lynda Normandin of Redding, CA, David J. Normandin of Kansas City, MO, Jean M. Noble (Michael) of Ormond Beach, FL, Steven M. Normandin of Bossier City, LA, and Joyce Bergeron (Kenneth) of Pawtucket, RI, and several nieces and nephews.

He was predeceased by his brother, the late Donald W. Normandin, and his sister-in-law, Jan Normandin.

The Funeral Service will be held on Thursday, September 24, 2026, at 7:00PM at the WILLIAM W. TRIPP Funeral Home, 1008 Newport Ave, Pawtucket.

Visitation will be held prior to the service from 5:00PM-7:00PM.
