John C. Mcginnes

Pawtucket – John C. McGinnes, 80, passed away peacefully on Friday, September 27, 2013. He was the beloved husband of Nina M. (Batchelder) McGinnes for 54 years. Born in Providence, he was a son of the late Francis and Julia (Nichols) McGinnes. John was a United States Air Force veteran of the Korean War and worked as a letter carrier for the United States Postal Service for nearly 30 years in the Darlington area of Pawtucket. He was a member of the Postal Workers Union and Advent Christian Church of Attleboro. John was also an avid New England Patriots and Boston Red Sox fan. Besides his loving wife, John leaves three children, David J. and Donald B. McGinnes both of Pawtucket and Sharon J. Tees of Hamilton, Ontario, Canada; two grandchildren, Christian and Charlotte Tees and a brother, James A. McGinnes of Warwick.
