John David Lefebvre Sr.

February 21, 1939 – May 2, 2025 John David Lefebvre Sr., passed away peacefully on the morning of May 2, 2025, at HopeHealth Hospice on North Main Street in Providence, surrounded by love and family.

A lifelong resident of Pawtucket, he was one of ten children of the late John D. and Mary E. (Slater) Lefebvre.

A devoted son, husband, father, grandfather and great-grandfather, John is survived by his beloved wife of sixty-five years, Patricia A. (Dunbar) Lefebvre, and his cherished children; daughters, Deborah A.

Turgeon (the late Ernest Abbott) of Cumberland, Michelle M.

Botelho (Richard) of Pawtucket, and Pamela J.

Emery (Brian) of Cumberland; and sons, John D.

Lefebvre Jr. and Jamie P.

Lefebvre, both of Pawtucket; seven grandchildren and four great-grandchildren; a brother, Richard Lefebvre and many nieces and nephews.

John graduated from Johnson & Wales having earned his associate degree, he went on to become a proud U.S.

Army veteran, and a faithful member of St.

Mary’s Parish in Pawtucket.

His work ethic and versatility were evident throughout a long and accomplished career.

He was once the co-owner of a gas station on North Main Street in Pawtucket, worked as a machinist for Cumberland Engineering, served as a property manager for Headco in Central Falls, and spent over 15 years with the Pawtucket School Department as the Custodial Supervisor until his retirement in 2012.

Beyond his career, John was a man of deep passions and simple joys.

He was an avid New England Patriots fan, always cheering on his team.

He found great happiness riding his motor scooter with his two sons, cooking holiday meals with his wife, enjoying peaceful Sunday drives with his family, and working on puzzles.

John's legacy is one of love, dedication, and unwavering support for those he held dear.

He will be remembered for his kindness, his strength, and the countless memories he created with his family and friends.

His family would like to thank the doctors, nurses and staff at the Miriam Hospital and subsequently HopeHealth Hospice for their compassionate care during John’s final days.

Tripp Funeral Home for beautifully undertaking the difficulties of such a trying time.

The funeral with Military Honors will be held on Tuesday, May 6th at 10 a.m. from WILLIAM W.

TRIPP Funeral Home, 1008 Newport Ave., Pawtucket, followed by a Mass of Christian Burial at 11 a.m. in St.

Mary Church, 103 Pine St., Pawtucket.

Interment with Military Honors will follow at Gate of Heaven Cemetery in East Providence.

VISITATION will be held on Monday, May 5th from 4 p.m. to 7 p.m. at the funeral home.
