Pawtucket – John P. Kanedes, 77, passed away unexpectedly on Monday, October 7, 2024. He was the beloved husband of Tina A. (Angel) Kanedes for nearly fifty years. Born in Manhattan, New York, he was the son of the late Peter J. and Fay (Stamos) Kanedes. A veteran of the United States Marine Corps, John proudly served his country during the Vietnam War. He worked for UPS as a Division Manager for twenty-five years prior to retiring in 1996. He later worked as a substance abuse therapist at Butler Hospital, Providence, for twenty years. John enjoyed bowling at East Providence Lanes and was a loyal baseball fan of the New York Yankees. His presence will be dearly missed by his family, especially his grandchildren who meant the world to him.
