John Peter Hornig, Sr.

Pawtucket - John Peter Hornig, Sr., 70, a self-employed contractor, of North Kingstown and formerly of Pawtucket, passed away Tuesday, April 12, 2011 at home. He was the husband of Carolyn (McCormick) Hornig. Born in Pawtucket, a son of the late Carl P. and Lillian M. (Silvia) Hornig, he resided in Pawtucket until moving to North Kingstown five years ago. John enjoyed gardening, boating and fishing. Besides his wife, he leaves four children, Gail Landry of South Attleboro, John Hornig, Jr. and his wife Jeanine of Pawtucket, Pamela Lallier and her husband Richard of Rehoboth and Dawn Coyro and her husband Fritz of Pawtucket; ten grandchildren and six great-grandchildren. He was the brother of the late Carl P. Hornig. Services will be held Saturday at 11 a.m. at WILLIAM W. TRIPP Funeral Home, 1008 Newport Ave., Pawtucket.
